I have been the subject of an orchestrated online defamation and have been harassed and stalked online and in the 'real' world. The identities of the few people involved were discovered by internet specialists having legal, detection and internet security backgrounds. My lawyer, an internet specialist, was responsible for removing one defamatory blog created by a person with a previous history of this type of activity. I have never met this person or had any association with this person. The previous defamatory blog that was removed used the very blog name address that I am currently using to reply generally to requests about what has gone on.
Internet security specialists in Taiwan and North America were kind enough to help me identify the names of those concerned. The defamatory situation was initially created by a freelance journalist who I have no association with and never met. This journalist created a forum and was moderator of a website that deals with cults and their behaviour. The full identity of this journalist is also known. Appropriate legal action is now been considered.
Initially I had no knowledge of the technical aspects of the World Wide Web, the internet, computers and computing, thus defamatory posts were quickly established. My advisors have implemented systems that monitor the web, the deep web and other networks for any defamatory material which is then collated. This is then processed, tracking sites, forums, web patterns, individual usage and in certain cases, legally tracking identity patterns. This is then been passed on for further action.
I have been advised of my legal rights in regard to online defamation, abuse of copyright, intellectual property and harassment in the UK, Europe, North America, Asia and elsewhere. I intend to implement these rights in the most appropriate and efficient manner under the due course of law as it applies in the abovementioned geographical areas.
People writing defamatory material about me in the past or currently have been identified thanks to software that can legally trace their identity, so these people can not hide behind false identities and believe themselves to be immune from prosecution both in the criminal and civil courts.The contents of some posts have been forwarded via legal counsel to the poilice.
